Physical World and Measurement: Units, dimensions, errors in measurement.
Kinematics & Laws of Motion: Motion in a straight line/plane, Projectile motion, Newton’s laws, friction, circular motion.
Work, Power, and Energy: Work-energy theorem, potential and kinetic energy, elastic and inelastic collisions.
Rotational Motion: Center of mass, torque, angular momentum, moment of inertia, theorems of parallel/perpendicular axes.
Gravitation: Kepler’s laws, acceleration due to gravity (g), escape velocity, orbital velocity.
Properties of Bulk Matter: Elasticity, fluid pressure, Pascal’s law, viscosity, surface tension, heat, temperature, thermal expansion.
Thermodynamics & Kinetic Theory: Laws of thermodynamics, heat engines, ideal gas equation, degrees of freedom.
Oscillations and Waves: Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), wave propagation, longitudinal and transverse waves, Doppler effect.
