Physical Chemistry
Solutions: Raoult’s law, colligative properties (elevation of boiling point, depression of freezing point), Van’t Hoff factor.
Electrochemistry: Nernst equation, conductance, Kohlrausch’s law, electrolysis, fuel cells.
Chemical Kinetics: Rate of reaction, molecularity and order, integrated rate equations (zero and first-order), Arrhenius equation.
Inorganic Chemistry
d- and f-Block Elements: Lanthanoids, actinoids, properties of transition elements, preparation of K2Cr2O7 and KMnO4.
Coordination Compounds: Werner’s theory, IUPAC nomenclature, Valence Bond Theory (VBT), Crystal Field Theory (CFT).
Organic Chemistry
Haloalkanes and Haloarenes: SN1 and SN2 mechanisms, polyhalogen compounds.
